Finally, I figured out how to post my "spell with flickr" mashup. On the flickr image of my name, I just copied and pasted the actual image. I had to use the square option because the regular option was too big for my blog post. I do think the "spell with flickr" could be used somehow creatively in the classroom, but right now, my mind is just blank. I think the letters are really cute.
I think the mappr mashup site would be very useful in a social studies classroom. I can definitely see how pictures of famous people or events could be tagged onto a map to help students remember them.
I am still not quite sure about sharing pictures of family on a site like flickr. I think it would be fine if the pictures were of places you visited. In that instance, I believe it would be great to share pictures of historical places and nature with others to use.
So, with all this photograph talk, I thought it only appropriate to close and connect you with Def Leppard and their song "Photograph." I loved the 80's! Leslie
