I will admit (again) that I really didn't know what a wiki was until after I completed this "thing." However, now that I know, I believe a wiki would be a great way for students or teachers to collaborate on a project or task.
I posted on the apsu23thingssandbox wiki today. It took me a couple of tries because I could not figure out why my copy and pasted picture was not saving to the document. But, I figured out with trial and error that I had to upload my picture to the wiki, then drag it over to the document. I chose to post my "image generator" picture. I think posting announcements or classroom reminders on an unusual image is more interesting than just writing it on the board for the class. By using image generators, the teacher is using technology to make learning fun!
In closing, I will stick with my "March Madness" basketball theme. I would like for you to imagine me saying this line in Dick Vitale mode: "Technology is awesome with a capital A, Baby!"

Wikis were a learning experience for me, too. I had no idea they could be used for collaboration.
