Home Page
I stuck with my Google home page, but I changed it up a bit. I went with the new format and changed my background to a beach scene because that is where I wish I was right now. I also deleted some of the "new format" gadgets and added a "to do" list gadget. I would like to make it my home page, but I haven't figured out how to do it. Here is a screen shot of my new and improved home page.
I laughed at the irony of the quote of the day by George Bernard Shaw, "He who can does-he who cannot, teaches" lol
Calendar
Since I had already had made a Google calendar previously, I made a MSN calendar. It was really easy. Some of the other sites did not appear so. Here is my actual schoolwork calendar I made for myself for April. I just want a little sympathy.
To do list
I did not like the "Remember the milk" site. I tried to use it, then I became frustrated, and quit. At this point, if it is not user friendly "for me" then adios. I created a list from Ta da list. It was really easy and free.

Once familiar with these tools, they would be very helpful for a teacher and her classroom. Calendars and "to do lists" could be placed on a classroom blog or website. Students could be instructed to create their own calendars and lists to stay organized and on-task.
